Amazing food. Me and my sons all had the ribs and they were perfect. I cant believe we waited so long to go and we'll definitely be back!

We purchased the chopped brisket and smoked sausage. It was the BEST BBQ we have ate in a long time! I would highly recommend this great place to eat!!!!!

Loved it. The flying pig is the bomb

So I found myself driving through Gilmer, TX late December and stumbled across this barbecue place. I went inside and of course inhaled the wonderful aroma of some good old vitamin Q! I was intrigued to see the young lady chopping and trimming just inches in front of you. But, I just hate to see the oh so tasty parts (fatty parts) go to waste! So I asked if I could have them. I took them home, froze then into blocks and froze them. I travel a lot so it took me a bit of time to get back to them. Well folks this is how you make a simple meal out of scraps! Easy recipe to do and it is oh so good. Thank you Dubya's for the memorable experience and the oh so tasty food we will be back very soon! Much love. Be sure to tell them I sent you for scraps!

Excellent service. Great down home atmosphere. BarBQue is delicious. Stuffed baked potato is unforgettable. Wednesday special of chicken wings will bring you back every Wednesday! This place is great and they appreciate your business. Love the cabbage and everything about this place.

Great food !!...but just miss having a Lone Star longneck with my bbq...

Had the Flying Pig sandwhich with coleslaw on top was wonderful. Would highly recommend it.

This is the best bbq in gilmer! Me & my husband love it. The turkey is amazing & I'm not a big turkey person but this turkey is melt in your mouth with amazing flavor, my daughter gets the rib sandwich and they are very generous with portions and my husband loves the flying pig sandwich and likes the jalapeno cheese sausage. This place is a must try.

Good bbq at a fair price

Dubya's is a small Smokehouse with a smal parking lot. Lunchtime can get a little busy. The one thing that you must try is the smoked cabbage. I have enjoyed cabbage many ways but not smoked. The smokiness along with a touch of spiciness makes for deliciousness. They also serve several different homemade barbecue sauces. You should try them all. I particularly like the yellow mustard sauce for it's sweet tanginess. Also, they serve a great baked potato. The staff is courteous and friendly. They are willing to explain their menu and allow you to taste the different sauces. They aim to please.

Been coming here since we moved to East Texas 6 years ago. The BBQ has always been very good. Service is exceptional and it's all wrapped up with a very reasonable price...until now. Maybe this virus scare has caused a change in meat availability but we ordered the same things we always do but this time we received less and paid more. I'll probably come back when things settle down but won't be very happy if this becomes that "new normal" everyone keeps talking about.

Great as usual love the service and the food

Great chow. They have a spicy smoked cabbage that was great. They chop their pork and Turkey together and count it as one meat...awesome. They offer boudain as a meat also...I loved it. I docked them one star because they don't have banana pudding. They have big collectors cups...thats cool too.

Real authentic smoked meats and bbq. Best I had last trip to gilmer TX. Friendly staff, variety of foods. You know it's good when the parking lot is full all of the time!

My Grandmother, Mother, Daughter and myself enjoyed lunch together here. The food was amazing. The portions are large. The owners are friendly. The atmosphere is comfortable. I definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Yummy BBQ that wasn't greasy - easy on the tummy. They have pie ... but my little human demanded a cookie. The pie looked amazing but the cookie was good. We ordered two combo lunch plates. They both had a good sized sandwich + drink + side. And everyone gets pinto beans! We left will full bellies and left overs for around $20. Quaint location that made for a good lunch stop.

The pulled pork was not as good as I remember. Very sweet and reminded me more of chopped beef. Nice employees though.

Sliced brisket and gator sausage is great!

Owner went out of their way to deliver us two gallons of sweet tea after they sold us sour tea. Other than the tea the food was excellent.

A slightly different flavor to the meat and a great baked potato.

Went Sat at 11:30 for sit down lunch... only to find that they had no beef brisket until 5 p.m How does this happen?; I opted for the ribs which were ok. The side of mustard potato salad was good. The side of slaw was spoiled and visually gray in color.... The pinto beans were all soup no beans. Very disappointed this time. Far below expectations. Then, I took a smoked turkey plate on carry out for my wife.....turkey was water logged like it had been injected with water to increase weight to make the actual turkey portion less on the scale. This tactic is wrong on so many levels. Will drive to Longview or Tyler or Dallas for my brisket fix. Spent $37 for a stomach ache. Not good.

Excellent BBQ! Friendly staff and the flying pig is a must, they will put it on anything! A baked potato, make it into a sandwich or just plain. The jalepeno sausage is flavorful. The coleslaw balances out the sausage and the green beans are bomb!

The Chopped beef was similar to Bodacious. I loved the smoked turkey, juicy and melts in your mouth. Love the mustard potato salad. I liked Bodacious beans better. Mac & cheese was good. Did not like that they only had diet Dr. Pepper, because I don't like Dr. Pepper. They need to get diet Coke or diet Pepsi. Also liked Bodacious BBQ sauce better.

OMG! The best BBQ around! Quiet little hole in the wall with a cute patio for enjoying the summer evenings!! Best pulled pork sandwiches and the best stuffed potatoes!

Great food at great prices. Ordered the loaded potato with brisket, and it was awesome. Plenty of toppings to go with it. Definitely will be back the next time I'm in for lunch.

The ribs were tougher than I have ever had from there like they were rushed to be cooked. I only eat ribs up there because they are always so wonderful. I had family in from Austin and they could not even eat them. I was so embarrassed. Everyone else LOVED there food.

The young ladies working the lunch hour today are 5 stars as well! Very attentive to each customer. They made sure the place was at it's best.
